Black Lava curbstones are made from volcanic rocks extracted from the Merbabu volcano in Java, Indonesia.

Lava rock colors vary greatly, ranging from mouse gray to deep black. Black lava pool edging is selected from the darkest rocks to maintain uniformity and a strong color that will enhance the color of your pool.

Upon contact with water, Black Lava coping stones will instantly darken. Light grays will turn anthracite, anthracite turns black, and black remains black!

Contrary to popular belief, this stone does not store heat. It has small perforations in its structure that disperse heat and make it non-slip. It is therefore perfectly suited to humid or sunny environments for laying on floors, pool cladding, or coping stones.

For the joints, an anthracite color is perfect.
