One of my favorite stones!

It is not a volcanic stone but a natural Sandstone. Sandstone is a sedimentary rock composed of both minerals such as quartz but also organic sediments and ores.

There are no 2 similar tiles. Depending on the extraction areas, the composition of the Sandstone changes and therefore the colors too. Just as on the same extraction plot we also find several shades. The Aqua Terra Sandstone that Monde en mains offers is extracted in the northwest of Java. Some tiles have shades that range from sage green to blue with yellow / orange veins while others can be pale yellow with orange veins or even green / blue with veining in the same shades but more sustained. It is this diversity that makes it fascinating and unique. The trick is to scatter a batch of tiles before laying them.

It is a stone that has interesting properties such as resistance to heat and cold, it is non-slip, anti-corrosion, very resistant to humidity and abrasion, resistant to solar rays.

Aqua Terra can be used in bathrooms, kitchens, saunas, jacuzzis, waterfalls, water features, both on interior and exterior walls

This rock, softer than stones of volcanic origin, makes it easier to work and allows for larger tiles to be obtained at a good price.

For joints, sage green is perfect.

Upon contact with water, when exposed to the sun, the colours of Aqua Terra intensify.
